The 2005 first formula — designed under Hedi Slimane — is built around a stark, chalk-dry iris absolute over a hot cocoa accord. The density of this opening is what separates it from every reformulation that followed. Pre-reformulation batches carry a noticeably louder iris-root weight and a cleaner suede transition into the base.
MONKO listings are written around the actual specimen, not only the fragrance name. The release format, condition grade, stock status and batch context are shown before checkout, so the buyer understands exactly what is being claimed.
Samples are made for controlled discovery: wear the scent, compare the batch, and decide without committing to a full bottle.
Dior Homme was created by perfumer Olivier Polge in 2005 as part of Hedi Slimane's relaunch of the Dior masculine line. The formula was widely reformulated in 2011 and again in 2020, each time moving away from the original powdery density. First-batch specimens are the reference point for what the fragrance was originally meant to be.
