Thierry Mugler launched A*Men in 1996 as the masculine counterpart to Angel. Both were built around a synthetic accord called Ethyl Maltol — a caramel-candy molecule combined with patchouli — that was genuinely unlike anything else on the market. The flanker series ran through the 2000s before being discontinued. None of the limited editions were restocked.
